Chabad House at Rutgers University and Gan Izzy Highland Park proudly partner with SHILO – Supporting Homeless Innovatively Loving Others to help feed vulnerable people in New Brunswick. This essential community service takes place during the summer camp weeks and during Rutgers University’s fall and spring semesters, when any excess food, fruits, or vegetables are donated to SHILO for immediate distribution by their volunteers.

SHILO, a grassroots volunteer organization, was founded to empower the homeless through advocating for resources that encourage self-sufficiency and stable living, and it provides support for the homeless in New Jersey with food, clothing, toiletries, and weekly outreach.
