More than 300 people attended Chabad of SE Morris County’s 2025 gala at the Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park on June 11. Dr. Eliott Brown received the Pillar of Kindness award; Tanya Helfand, Esq., was the Women of Valor awardee; and Kira and Denis Shmuler earned the Community Leadership award. The evening included dining, live music, and stories to celebrate the unbreakable spirit of Jewish strength and pride.

Gani Goodman, co-director of Chabad at Drew University with her husband, Rabbi Aaron Goodman, told stories of resilience and Jewish pride on campus after October 7. “Chabad at Drew’s growth over this past year has been remarkable,” she said. “So many students have strengthened their connection to Judaism and to Israel. It’s inspiring to see.”

The evening’s highlight was the announcement by Rabbi Shalom Lubin, Chabad of SE Morris County’s founder, that after years of searching, Chabad has closed on a new property in Florham Park.
