Chabad of SE Morris has gala
Last month, 300 guests were at the Chabad of SE Morris County’s milestone gala, which celebrated 20 years of service to the community. The gala was held at the Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park.
The guests of honor were Gail Lobel, recipient of the Woman of Valor award; Jennifer and Ian Josloff, recipients of the Pillars of Kindness award; Jeffrey Greenberg, recipient of the Man of the Year award; and Annabel Simon, Coco Simon, and Henry Smith, recipients of the Teen Visionary awards.
“This was indeed a significant milestone for us and for the many that have been touched by the presence of our Chabad, and the good work we do throughout the community. Chabad has joyfully enriched our community in so many ways, and has provided a wide range of activities and support to young children, teens, isolated seniors, and men and women from all walks of life. Our worthy honorees have been supportive of our work for many years, and I am thrilled to give them the honor and recognition they so richly deserve,” Rabbi Shalom Lubin said. Rabbi Lubin and his wife, Aharona Lubin, founded the organization, in Madison, in 2002.
Gala proceeds will fund Chabad’s Caring for the Elderly and Weekly Thankful Thursdays soup distribution initiative.
