Chabad of West Orange dinner
Chabad of West Orange, led by Rabbi Mendy and Altie Kasowitz, held its annual dinner on June 25, honoring the dedication and leadership of honorees Abie Meghnagi, the Man of the Year; Chessed awardees Ziv and Shoshana David; and Dr. Steve Reich, the evening’s keynote speaker, who described his experiences as a spinal surgeon helping wounded IDF soldiers in Israel.

The fundraiser included fine dining, music, and stories to celebrate the unbreakable spirit of Jewish strength and pride. CWO also announced the launch of a project to acquire a new space for children and teens and a kitchen expansion.
Aydan Sigler, 10, a son of Yuda and Caryn Sigler and a rising star with CWO, kicked off the program, welcoming the guests, and talking about how happy he is to be a part of Chabad. According to Rabbi Kasowitz, Aydan stands on the bima with the rabbi every Shabbat for the Torah reading.
