Charles Goldfarb
Charles Goldfarb, 80, of Brick died Aug. 8, 2012. He was born and raised in Newark.
Mr. Goldfarb spent most of his life working for Chevron Oil, retiring in 1984 as operations manager.
He attended New York School of Mechanical Dentistry and Cornell University.
He served in the Army Medical Corps during the Korean War.
He served on the executive board of the Boy Scouts of America, Jersey Shore Council. He also served as past president of the Brick Morning Rotary Club, past trustee of Congregation Ahavat Shalom, and was an active member of Congregation Ahavat Olam.
He was commander and co-commander of the Jewish War Veterans’ Robbins-Feldstein Post 178, and served in many other volunteer organizations.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Geri; his son, Fred of Jackson; two daughters, Arlene Schwartz of Brick and Fayth Reynolds of Jackson; a brother, Abraham of South Carolina; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 10 with arrangements by Belkoff Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Lakewood. Memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America Jersey Shore Council, Learning for Life Program, 1518 Ridgeway Rd., Toms River, NJ 08755.
