Charles Goldstein

Charles A. Goldstein, 91, of West Orange died July 11, 2020. He was born and raised in Newark.

Mr. Goldstein and his wife, Jeri, owned and operated Gertrude’s Dress Shop of Newark and South Orange.

He graduated from Weequahic High School, Newark, in 1947, and in 1951 from New York University with a B.S. from the School of Commerce, Accounts and Finance.

He was a member of the NJ National Guard.

An avid golfer since age eight, he won many club championships, and enjoyed sailing and skiing. He and his wife each obtained their pilot’s licenses and enjoyed traveling around the world together; they also spent many summers at Martha’s Vineyard.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years; three children, Quija, Bonny, and Nancy; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
