Cynthia S. Kaplan Epstein
Cynthia S. Kaplan Epstein, 79, of Monroe Township died Oct. 6, 2011. Born in Brooklyn, she resided in Queens before moving to Monroe in 1986.
Prior to retiring in 1985, Mrs. Epstein was an assistant teacher for the New York Board of Education, Brooklyn, where she worked for seven years.
She was a congregant of the Jewish Congregation of Concordia in Monroe Township. She was a member of the Concordia chapters of Deborah and Hadassah and the National Council of Jewish Women, all of Monroe Township. She was also a congregant and active sisterhood member of Rockwood Park Jewish Center of Howard Beach, Queens.
Predeceased by her daughter, Carol Young, in 1985, she is survived by her husband of 60 years, Leonard; her son, Edward of Auburn, NY; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 10 with arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Foundation, PO Box 27106, New York, NY 06825.
