Daniel Shure
Daniel Shure, 58, of Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y., died Sept. 7, 2017. He was born in Newark.
Mr. Shure worked for many years at City University of New York, most recently as manager of creative and web services. Earlier in his career he worked in public relations at Lehman College, Yeshiva University, and Hunter College.
He graduated from Utica College.
He was a board member of Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct and Croton Arboretum and an active supporter of the Croton Community Garden, Croton-Cortlandt Food Pantry, and other civic organizations.
Predeceased by his parents, Augusta and Jack Shure, he is survived by his sister, Abigail Shure of Belleville, and many cousins.
Services were held Sept. 10 at Bethel Cemetery, Croton-on-Hudson.
