Daniel Weiss
Daniel Weiss of Roseland died Jan. 13, 2018. He was born in Newark.
Mr. Weiss served on multiple state and county boards, including as president and member of the NJ Board of Accountancy, on Ethics Boards, as sergeant at arms of the State Senate and State Assembly, on municipal planning and zoning boards, and on the Senior Citizen and Building Advisory commissions. He was the longest public member and president of the State Board of Medical Examiners for 26 years.
He attended Seton Hall and Rutgers universities and Upsala College, earning a degree in economics and accounting.
He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Weiss (significant other Joel Rains) and Margie (Dave) Heller; a sister, Pat Sebold; four grandchildren; and his companion, Cynthia Klein.
Services were held Jan. 17 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Barnabas Medical Center, Team Howard, Attn: Development Foundation, 95 Old Short Hills Road, West Orange, N.J. 07052.
