Day by day

Arnold Eisen’s wish for “a daily reading of Talmud, Torah, or Psalms,” a “daily dose of learning that literally puts every Jew on the same page” should be so easy to do. (“Seize the daily,” editor’s column, Aug. 16). I am thinking of one of those page-a day calendars. The sayings are usually clever quotes or jokes or other such bon mots. Why not a calendar with an offering on each page of Talmud, Torah, Psalms, or words of the sages?

In addition to a learning opportunity it would be a great fund raiser.
