The Mental Health Association of Essex and Morris counties, along with Thrive Morris’ Team De-Stig, offers a live, family-friendly Zoom program on Tuesday, May 18, from 4 to 6 p.m. Guest host Tommy Hilcken of Tommy Hilcken Productions leads the program, which offers magic, improv, self-care resources, and a discussion on mental health and suicide prevention.
Zoom participants will interact with professionals who specialize in pediatric and adult anxiety, depression, and suicide prevention. They will be able to engage in activities including impromptu comedy and age-appropriate crafts, and leave with strategies designed to help loved ones who are battling mental illnesses.
To follow the program on social media, use these hashtags: #teamdestig, #mentalhealthmatters, #changelives.
Participants also will be able to buy memorabilia and branded gift items designed by Mary Jo DeFranco of Metrographics. All proceeds will benefit the Mental Health Association of Morris and Essex and its continued mission to de-stigmatize mental health conditions.
Avidon Health is a platinum event sponsor. For reservations, email email@example.com and put Team De-Stig Event in the subject line.
