Donald Tunis
Donald Tunis, 84, of Livingston died March 6, 2015. Born in Newark, he was a resident of Livingston for over 60 years.
A property owner and manager, Mr. Tunis spent many years as a real estate proprietor, owning D&L Tunis, LLC in Irvington. For many years he was also the owner of Benjamin’s Garage in Newark.
For over 60 years he was a member of Temple Beth Shalom in Livingston. He was also a member of Lodge 80 of the F&AM.
Predeceased by his wife, Anita (Pelta), he is survived by two sons, Marc of Livingston and Eric (Gail) of Wayne; his daughter, Beth Tunis of Livingston; two grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
Services were held March 8 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or National Kidney Foundation.
