Edward Bejan

Edward Bejan, 87, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., died May 9, 2012. Born in New York, he lived in New York City and also in Palm Beach.

Mr. Bejan began his career as a sportswriter and radio sportscaster followed by writing financial articles for the Wall Street Journal. He later ran his own financial public relations firm before retiring in 1985.

He attended the University of California, Berkeley, and Penn State University before earning his bachelor’s degree at Long Island University.

He was a decorated second lieutenant in the Army Air Corps during World War II and served as a bombardier in New Guinea, the Southern Philippines, and Borneo.

Predeceased by his first wife, Jacqueline (Ladoux), he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances; two daughters, Lauren Cantor of Parsippany and Jacqueline Dalby of Gresham, Ore.; four grandchildren; and twin great-grandchildren.

Services were held with arrangements by Howard-Price Funeral Home, North Miami Beach.
