Edward Schwartz

Edward N. Schwartz, 96, of Boynton Beach, Fla., died July 11, 2012. He was born and raised in New York City, moving to Verona and later Morristown before retiring to Boynton Beach over 20 years ago.

Mr. Schwartz worked for several years for the U.S. Department of Justice before opening a private practice specializing in labor relations in New Jersey. He was also the attorney for the township of Verona.

He earned a law degree and clerked for former New Jersey Chief Justice Joseph Weintraub.

He served in the Army Corps of Engineers during World War II in Europe and the Far East.

He was active with Congregation Beth Ahm of West Essex, Verona.

An avid golfer, he won numerous tournaments at and served as president of Cedar Hill Country Club in Livingston.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jeanine; two daughters, Jacqueline and Nina; and three grandchildren.

Private services were held in Florida. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice by the Sea, Boca Raton, Fla.
