Edward Teltser
Edward Teltser, 85, of Delray Beach, Fla., formerly of Short Hills, died Dec. 21, 2010. He was raised in Orange.
Mr. Teltser was a certified public accountant, practicing for many years in northern New Jersey in his own partnership and lastly associated with Rothstein Kass & Co.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and graduated from Upsala College as a beneficiary of the GI Bill.
He was appointed by then-Gov. Brendan Byrne as an Essex County Tax Commissioner. He was a past master of an F&AM lodge, and for many years was a member of B’nai B’rith, Congregation B’nai Israel in Millburn, and Crestmont Country Club in West Orange.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bernice Gold Teltser; two daughters, Alberta Pedroja and Patrice Teltser; his son, William; his brother, Harold; and five grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 26 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
