Edwin Fradkin
Edwin Fradkin, 88, of Boca Raton, Fla., died Aug. 4, 2011. Originally from Newark, he moved to Florida 14 years ago.
Mr. Fradkin was a founding member of the law firm Starr, Weinberg & Fradkin in Newark, where he worked for more than 50 years.
He was a graduate of Weequahic High School, Newark, and Rutgers Law School; he played basketball for both.
He was a navigator bombardier who flew with 772 Bomb Group out of Italy in the Mediterranean and received the Distinguished Flying Cross.
He was a past president of Crestmont Country Club in West Orange.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Schlein); his son, Andrew of San Carlos, Calif.; two daughters, Amy Furst of New Vernon and Alison of Baltimore; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 7 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice by the Sea, Boca Raton.
