Eleanor Berkowitz
Eleanor Berkowitz of West Orange died June 26, 2015. Born and raised in Trenton, she lived in Flemington for most of her married life, moving to West Orange six years ago.
Mrs. Berkowitz was a past president of the sisterhood of Flemington Jewish Community Center and the NJ regional chapter of B’nai B’rith. She was a past treasurer for Camp Isabel (for children with disabilities) and the Penny Fund.
Predeceased by her husband, Max, she is survived by her daughter, Harriet (Bart) Schneiderman, and a grandson.
Services were held June 28 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Daughters of Israel, West Orange.
