Emanuel Rothfeld, 78, of Mountainside died Oct. 25, 2012. Born in Newark, he resided in North Plainfield and South Daytona, Fla., before relocating to Mountainside 25 years ago.
Mr. Rothfeld and his late wife, Phyllis (Beyer), owned and operated Caring Transportation, Kenilworth, and Door to Door Transportation (dba Medi Taxi) of Union and Hamilton. He was still active in the day-to-day operations of the business and was a member of the NJ Medical Transportation Association.
He was an U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his son, Steven of Mantoloking; his daughter, Susan Adler of Rockville Center, NY; a sister, Sally Wenger of Plainfield; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 28 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
