Esther Schwartz
Esther Schwartz (Zorn), 95, of Hollywood, Fla., died Aug. 14, 2013. She was born in Newark, where she lived until 1972, when she moved to West Orange and then in 2011 to Florida.
Mrs. Schwartz retired from the Prudential Insurance Company of America, where she worked in the Dryden Library before retiring in 1982.
She was a member of the JCC MetroWest and was the corresponding secretary of the William Margulies Senior Center, where she was an avid bridge player.
She was a member of the sisterhood of Young Israel, the West Orange branch of Hadassah, and the ladies auxiliary of the Jewish War Veterans. She was also a member of B’nai Zion-Hochberg Chapter #125 Erste Bolochover, KUV.
She is survived by her children, Linda and Noel Wiederhorn, Phyllis Wurzel, and Jayne and Victor Gulewicz; a sister, Blanche Fiske of Hollywood; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 19 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
