Evelyn F. Cohen
Evelyn F. Cohen, 94, of Ewing died April 4, 2011. Born in New York, she resided in Ewing most of her life.
Mrs. Cohen was a social worker at the Mercer County Department of Aging, Union Industrial Home, and United Progress International before retiring.
She was a graduate of Edison College.
In 1939 she was a swimmer at the New York World’s Fair Aquacade.
She was a member and volunteer at the Jewish Community Center, where she taught swimming. She also served as a trustee at Women for Greenwood House and was a member of Har Sinai Temple, Pennington.
Predeceased by her husband, Chester, she is survived by three sons, Steven of Palo Alto, Calif., Matthew of Columbus, Ohio, and Andrew of Tucson, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.
Services were held April 5 at Har Sinai Temple with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to Greenwood House, Ewing.
