Florence Chernin
Florence Chernin (Hecht), 88, of Rockville, Md., died May 27, 2013. Born in Newark, she resided in Belleville for a short time before moving to Union, where she raised her family. She later resided in North Caldwell and also maintained residences in Palm Beach Gardens and Delray Beach, Fla.
Mrs. Chernin was a homemaker.
She was a member of Mountain Ridge Country Club, West Caldwell, for many years.
Predeceased by her husband, Arthur, in 2010, she is survived by three sons, David (Sandra) of Potomac, Md., Alan (Elaine) of Caldwell, and Joel (Alexandria) of Kennett Square, Pa.; and four grandchildren.
Services were held May 30 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to United Jewish Appeal at www.jfedgmw.org.
