Florence Cohen
Florence R. Cohen, 81, of Woodland Park died Oct. 11, 2010. She was born in Paterson and was a longtime resident of the Paterson/West Paterson area.
Mrs. Cohen was a registered nurse who received her training at the Barnett Memorial Hospital and later worked at the Montclair Community Hospital.
She was a member of Hadassah, B’nai B’rith, and Temple Shalom of West Essex in Cedar Grove.
Predeceased by her son Benjamin David Cohen, she is survived by her husband of 60 years, Norman; two sons, Howard of Bloomfield and Arthur of Wayne; two daughters, Sara Barretta of Wake Forest, NC, and Ellen Rosenthal-Cohen of Ithaca, NY; a brother, Jack Rosenthal of Jackson; and nine grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 14 with arrangements by Jewish Memorial Chapel, Clifton.
