Florence Goldstein
Florence Goldstein (Rabinowitz), 89, of Whippany died Aug. 20, 2018. Born in Newark, she lived for many years in Bloomfield before moving to Montclair in 2013 and to Whippany last fall.
Mrs. Goldstein taught kindergarten in Bloomfield’s Brookdale School for 23 years.
She graduated from Newark State College (now Kean University).
In her retirement she began painting and won several awards for her watercolor floral works.
Throughout her adult life she was active in Sisterhood and Temples B’nai Zion and Ner Tamid of Bloomfield.
Predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Bill, in 2006, she is survived by two sons, Steven (Anita) of Union and Robert (Mona) of Morris Plains, and four grandsons.
Services were held Aug. 22 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
