Florence Lax
Florence Lax, 94, of Delray Beach, Fla., died June 19, 2011. Born in Harrison, she lived in Maplewood before moving to Delray Beach.
Mrs. Lax was a graduate of Upsala College, East Orange.
She was a member of Temple Emeth of Delray Beach and a life member of Hadassah.
Predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Frank, she is survived by two daughters, Renee Phon of West Orange and Hinda Berger of Lake Worth, Fla.; her son, Marvin William of Pawtucket, RI; her brother, Samson Jacobs of Houston; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held June 22 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Fla.
