Florence Wasserman

Florence Wasserman, 78, of Basking Ridge died March 31, 2016. Born in the Bronx, she lived in DeWitt, NY, and Newton, Mass., before moving to West Orange in 1973. She moved to Basking Ridge in 2014.

Mrs. Wasserman was the manager of member services and training manager at Weight Watchers of North Jersey, where she worked for many years. She then worked for several years at Jewish National Fund in Florham Park.

She attended SUNY-Plattsburgh and graduated from New York University. She also graduated from Hunter College High School.

She was a member of Oheb Shalom Congregation of South Orange and Jewish Women International.

Predeceased by her husband, Perry, she is survived by her daughter, Ellen (Stuart) Goldstein; two sons, Barry (Ruth Ann) and Mark (Jan); a brother, Ivan Cooper; and eight grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her friend Jack Greene.

Services were held April 3 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to MSA NJ (msanj.org).
