Fred Fischer
Fred H. Fischer, 96, of Manchester died Sept. 14, 2013. Born in Newark, he resided in Bloomfield and Clark before moving to Manchester 19 years ago.
Mr. Fischer was employed as an aviation machinist for TWA at Newark Airport for 40 years before retiring in 1980.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion, both of Clark.
He was a former member of Temple Beth O’r/Beth Torah, Clark, and a member of the Bocci Ball Club at Leisure Village West.
Predeceased by his wives, Julia (Bensa) and Eleanor (Simpson), and his son, Robert, he is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Moore of Queen Creek, Ariz., and Cynthia (Paul) Stulpin of Clark; his stepson, Gary Rosen of Edison; and eight grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 17 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
