Gary M. Ross
Gary Michael Ross, 69, of West Orange died Feb. 3, 2011. He was born in the Bronx.
Mr. Ross first worked with General Drafting Company, publishers of the Exxon road maps and travel guides. He helped tourists plan their travel routes, rated hotels and attractions all over the United States, and became an account executive for the company at its Convent Station office. When the company was sold, Gary moved on to Sears, where he sold computers. He spent the balance of his career with P.C. Richard & Sons, selling computers and going on to manage the NJ stores’ computer departments.
He attended Bronx High School of Science, graduating at the age of 15 and enrolling in the University of Michigan, where he studied biology and was a member of the equestrian team.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Ruth; his brother, Donald; two stepdaughters, Natalie Sherman and Leslie Nordin; two nieces, Julie Silbermann and Marjorie Andresen; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 6 at Temple B’nai Abraham, Livingston. Arrangements were handled by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
