Gary Rosensweig
Gary Steven Rosensweig, 73, of East Windsor died Jan. 2, 2016. He was born in Brooklyn and was a longtime resident of East Windsor.
A land use and zoning attorney, Mr. Rosensweig represented both the East Windsor and Hightstown planning boards for many years. He was in private practice for many years, most recently with Sokol Behot in Princeton, and before that as a partner at Archer and Greiner in Princeton, and at Schwartz, Tobia, and Stanziale in Montclair. He was an original member of the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission, serving from 1970 to 1982 in various executive and professional positions, including director of administration.
He attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Elizabeth, Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, and Rutgers Law School.
A lifelong basketball player, he played in high school and college and throughout much of his life. He was a youth basketball coach.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ellen (Goodman); two daughters, Sara (David) Simon of Warren and Jill (Russell) Oster of Yardley, Pa.; his son, Seth (Shelley) of Manhattan; a brother, Fred of Bethesda, Md.; a sister, Janet Golden of East Windsor; and six grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 5 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or FORCE (Facing our Risk of Cancer Empowered).
