Gift tripling offered on #GivingTuesday

JEWISH FEDERATION of Greater MetroWest NJ has joined #GivingTuesday, a national day of giving taking place the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, this year Dec. 3.

To enhance the effort, Susan and Evan Ratner of Short Hills are offering a Triple Your Donation match that will add $2 for every dollar contributed (up to a $500 donation).

“The only joy better for Susan and me when we give is to inspire others to join us. Thank you, Greater MetroWest, for giving us this opportunity,” said Evan Ratner.

Federation is also coordinating #GivingTuesday volunteer opportunities, ranging from the collection of nonperishable food for the community’s two kosher food pantries to donations of toys for children in Union Beach still recovering from Hurricane Sandy.

All funds donated on #GivingTuesday will benefit Super Sunday on Dec. 8, federation’s major fund-raising phonathon.
