Gloria F. Vlosky
Gloria F. Vlosky, 74, of Minneapolis died Sept. 2, 2011. She was born in Poughkeepsie, NY, and lived in Syracuse, NY, and West Orange before moving to Minneapolis five years ago.
Mrs. Vlosky worked as a special education teacher in the Syracuse school district for many years.
She graduated from State Teachers College in Buffalo, NY.
An ardent fan of the Minnesota Twins, she was honored at a recent game by throwing out the first pitch.
Predeceased by her husband, Milton E., in 1968, she is survived by her son, Bernard of Minneapolis; two daughters, Linda Vlosky Zack of Columbus, Ohio, and Andra Vlosky Goldman of West Orange; two brothers, Donald Weisman of Amherst, NY, and John Weisman of Poughkeepsie; and six grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 5 with arrangements by the William G. Miller and Son Funeral Home, Poughkeepsie. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
