Grandfriends in the classroom

Every Sunday a group of “grandfriends” go to South Orange to be in kindergarten. It’s at Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel’s Linda & Rudy Slucker religious school and is part of a three-year fellowship pilot program from IDEAL18 that connects generations and destigmatizes aging. During the weekly 2 1/2-hour class, the grandfriends play and chat with the kids at various stations and participate in circle time.
