Harold M. Friedman
Harold M. Friedman, 68, of Cranford died Sept. 17, 2011. He was born in Newark and resided in Cranford for over 30 years.
Mr. Friedman was a guidance counselor at Weequahic High School and then became the head of the guidance department at Science High School, both in Newark. He was also a private tutor for many years, successfully helping many students achieve their degrees.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Fern; two sons, David of Westfield and Scott of Fanwood; his daughter, Beth Cofsky of Westport, Conn.; a brother, Martin Friedman of Coral Springs, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 19 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
