Harold Schultz
Harold Schultz, 97, of West Orange died Dec. 12, 2014. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Bayonne before moving to West Orange 30 years ago.
Mr. Schultz owned and operated Schultz Pharmacy in Bayonne for more than 40 years.
He graduated from the School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University, where he was captain of the tennis team and president of the professional pharmaceutical fraternity Alpha Zeta Omega.
An avid golf and tennis player and musician, he was also a member of the Drama Group at Bayonne Jewish Community Center.
Predeceased by his wife of 72 years, Joyce, 15 months ago, he is survived by two daughters, Carol (Donald) Welsch of West Orange and Robin (Stan) Gerber of Englewood; two brothers, Sidney of Albuquerque, NM, and Irwin of Woodland Hills, Calif.; two granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 14 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to USAgainstAlzheimer’s.
