Harvey Silk
Harvey A. Silk, 91, of Lawrenceville died Nov. 25, 2019. Born in Trenton, he was a resident of Lawrenceville for more than 60 years.
Before retiring in 1992, Mr. Silk was the proprietor of Silk’s Pharmacy, originally founded by his father and mother, Jacob and Anna Silk.
He was a graduate of the Hamilton Township school system, and obtained his B.S. from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science.
He was drafted into the army during the Korean War and served in Frankfurt, Germany, as a hospital pharmacist.
In retirement, he enjoyed attending lectures, gardening, swimming, and reading history. He was a past president of the Mercer County Pharmaceutical Society and a member of Har Sinai Temple and Cobblestone Creek Country Club.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Barish Silk; his daughter, Sally (Thomas Wolfe); his son, Michael; a sister, Doris Kramer; and two granddaughters.
Services were held Nov. 29 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to Har Sinai Temple or Greenwood House.
