Helen Gettner
Helen J. Gettner, 83, of Princeton died Aug. 28, 2015.
Born in Antwerp, Belgium, Mrs. Gettner was a hidden child during the Holocaust. She later moved to Israel, where she served in the Israel Defense Forces, before coming to the United States in 1957. A resident of Boston for 30 years, she later resided in Washington, DC, and then Arizona.
Predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Marvin, she is survived by three daughters, Sonya Gettner (Reed Bentley) of Pittsburgh, Judy Gettner of Boston, and Anita (David) Gruenberg; two sisters, Dora Walzer of Israel and Annette Gielbartowicz of Brussels, Belgium; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 31 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing.
