Herman Solomon
Herman Solomon, 77, of West Orange died March 14, 2013. He lived in Livingston for almost 40 years.
Mr. Solomon sought to follow in his family tradition of becoming a professional baker and attended baking school. He injured his back serving in the Army in Korea, and instead became a bookkeeper. He later had an almost-50-year career as a CPA. He and his wife, Judy, had a practice in Newton, which later moved to Livingston.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Beth (Bernard) Thompson and Sharon Solomon; two sisters, Evelyn Solomon and Marilyn Levy; and a granddaughter.
Services were held March 17 with arrangements by J.L. Apter Memorial Chapels of Cedar Grove.
