Honoring a life
Sheila Engelbach — a long-time involved member of the Jewish community — was diagnosed with lymphoma in the spring of 2015 and died Oct. 27 of that year.
In honor of her life, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, which raises awareness about the diseases and raises money to fund a search for treatments and a cure — will, with the help of Neiman Marcus, hold a fashion show to support Couture for a Cure on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Neiman Marcus in King of Prussia, Pa.
Engelbach grew up in Trenton and later moved to Bucks County, Pa. A retired educator and administrator in the Ewing School System, she lived in Washington Crossing, Pa., was a member of Har Sinai Temple for many years, and taught in the synagogue’s religious school.
The presentation will feature the Badgley Mischka fall 2016 collection, with guest appearances by the designers. All proceeds will benefit the Abramson Cancer Center Lymphoma Program at the University of Pennsylvania.
Tickets cost $150; sponsorships are available. For information, contact Naomi Griffin at 215-504-1076 or Becky Goldstein, 215-493-2508.
