How their gardens grow
Students, teachers, and parents plant at the Thelma K Reisman Preschool garden at Congregation Beth El in South Orange.
This summer, budding gardeners throughout the area dug their hands into the soil to coax flowers, fruits, and vegetables from the beds in synagogue plots cultivated in connection with lessons on the cycles of nature, protecting the environment, and conserving the bounty of the earth.
