Howard Murray August, 86, of North Carolina died Jan. 26, 2016. Born in New York City, he lived in Union for 43 years.
Mr. August worked at Allied Signal Corp. in Morristown for 36 years.
Predeceased by his wife of 29 years, Joan Lenore August, and his companion of 29 years, Jeanne K. Major, he is survived by his son, Robert (Tanja); a brother, Leonard; a sister, Sandra Herman; and two grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 1 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
