Howard K. Goldberger
Howard K. Goldberger, 93, of Springfield, Va., died Nov. 30, 2014. Born in Perth Amboy, he also had lived in Boynton Beach, Fla.; Basking Ridge; and Livingston.
Dr. Goldberger practiced dentistry for 40 years in Irvington, Millburn, and Short Hills.
He graduated as valedictorian of Harold G. Hoffman High School, South Amboy, and attended Rutgers University and University of Pennsylvania Dental School.
He was a captain in the U.S. Army and served in the Philippines and Korea in the Dental Corps.
He was a member of Temple B’nai Shalom, Fairfax Station, Va., and Congregation Beth Mordechai in Perth Amboy.
Predeceased by his wife, Ruth (Shliefstein), he is survived by two daughters, Amy (Barry) Arons and Marjory Paganelli, and two granddaughters.
Services were held Dec. 2 with arrangements by Jefferson Funeral Chapel, Alexandria, Va. Memorial contributions may be made to Rutgers Oral History Archives at Rutgers University.
