Howard Wahler
Howard E. Wahler, 94, of West Orange died Nov. 23, 2018. Born in Newark and raised in Maplewood, he was a longtime resident of Livingston.
Mr. Wahler spent his career as a CPA with the Internal Revenue Service, and later was employed by Granet and Granet before going on to work for JH Cohn.
He was a graduate of Rutgers University.
He served in the 10th Mountain Division Ski Troops during World War II. After training in Camp Hale, Colo., he participated in a successful campaign in Riva Ridge, Italy, as a member of the Signal Corps.
He was a long-time member of Temple Emanu-El, Livingston.
Predeceased by his wife of over 68 years, Marion, he is survived by two daughters, Sheila (Marc) Tarabour and Nancy Wahler (John Irwin), and three grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 25 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation.
