“Images of Normandy Beach”

A series of pictures created by a Newark-born artist, Ugo Giannini, and loaned to The United Jewish Communities of MetroWest New Jersey by his widow, Maxine Yellin Giannini.

“Images of Normandy Beach” are a series of pictures created by a Newark-born artist, Ugo Giannini, and loaned to The United Jewish Communities of MetroWest New Jersey by his widow, Maxine Yellin Giannini of West Orange.

They include both realistic sketches made under combat conditions and abstract works by Giannini in his post-war period. They will be on display between Feb. 14 and Mar. 5 at the Gaelen Gallery West at The United Jewish Communities of MetroWest New Jersey in Whippany. It will be open Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays, from 9 a.m. to noon. Admission is free.
