As if the fact that it took the U.S. more than two days to find out about President Kim Jong il was not bad enough, Bloomberg Business week reports that South Korean opposition leaders are saying that the head of South Korean intelligence and the entire Government–U.S. allies– learned of his death from North Korean television. At the same time the Chinese ambassador in Pyongyang found out the day he died.
