In commemoration of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Dr. Robert Williams, deputy director for international affairs at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, offers a Zoom talk, “From Awareness to Action: Confronting Antisemitism At Home and Abroad.” The January 27 program, at 6 p.m., is about how current conspiracy theories and tropes fuel antisemitism domestically and internationally, as well as how and why Holocaust education is one of many ways to combat the growth in antisemitism.

Dr. Williams sits on the steering committee of the Global Task Force on Holocaust Distortion, and for four years he was the chair of the Committee on Antisemitism and Holocaust Denial at the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance.

The program is presented by the Holocaust Museum & Center for Tolerance and Education and hosted by Rockland Community College. The museum receives funding from the Town of Ramapo, the County of Rockland, and the Jewish Federation & Foundation of Rockland County.
