Irene “Elaine” Gold
Irene Elaine Walsh Gold, 77, of Trenton died July 5, 2016.
Mrs. Gold, who was known as Elaine, graduated from Cathedral School in Trenton and received an RN degree from Bellevue Hospital School of Nursing. She was active as an RN for a few years in New York City and Trenton before going into administrative health care. She worked at Medicaid.
After several years’ absence, she returned to school to finish her BA in political science at College of New Jersey. She completed her career as a risk manager at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital.
She was an active life member of Hadassah. She enjoyed summer boat trips to the Chesapeake and trips to Mexico, gardening, and her pets.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Chaim (Hy); a niece, Jennifer G. Bennett; and a nephew, Paul B. Gold.
Services were held July 8 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions are requested to Vice President Joseph Biden’s Cancer Moonshot initiative.
