Irma Kenter
Irma R. Kenter (Loeb), a longtime resident of West Caldwell, died Jan. 11, 2020. Born in 1936 in Irvington, she was originally from Newark.
Mrs. Kenter spent the last 20 years as an office administrator at Temple Beth Shalom, Livingston, before recently retiring. She taught Sunday school at Temple Beth Am in Parsippany for 20 years and spent many summers working as a camp counselor.
She graduated from Weequahic High School, Newark, and attended Montclair State College.
Predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Arnold, whom she married in 1957, she is survived by two sons, Scott of West Caldwell and Seth (Gayle) of Springfield; a sister, Paula Schaefer of Lake Worth, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 13 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Mattoon Jewish Community Center, 2200 Western Ave., Mattoon, IL 61938.
