Irving Lubitz
Irving Lubitz, 86, of Delray Beach, Fla., died Feb. 6, 2011. Born and raised in Jersey City, he lived in Union for many years before moving to Delray Beach over 25 years ago.
Mr. Lubitz became a wallpaper manufacturer at Astor Wallpaper.
He graduated from St. Peters College and received an MS in chemistry from Stevens Institute of Technology.
He was a tail gunner during World War II.
He was a member of Congregation Beth Shalom in Union for many years and Temple Emeth in Delray Beach.
Predeceased by his wife, Natalie, he is survived by two sons, Mitchel and Alan; his daughter, Rhonda Terry; five grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
Services were held Feb. 9 with arrangements by Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, Delray Beach.
