Irwin Bialer

Irwin Bialer of Monroe Township died Jan. 31, 2018. He was born in New York City in 1931 and also had lived in Linden.

Mr. Bialer graduated from City College of New York and later served in the U.S. Army Chemical Corps during the Korean War. He earned a master’s degree from Newark College of Engineering (now NJIT) while working in the chemical industry. He later began his own business.

He was an active member of the Concordia Village community in Monroe.

Predeceased by his wife, Sherry, he is survived by two daughters, Robin (Adam) Kane and Deborah Bialer; his son, Arthur (Abigail); and seven grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 2 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
