Irwin Laufman
Irwin Laufman, 85, of Livingston died June 29, 2011. Born in the Bronx, he was raised in Newark and lived in Livingston for 54 years.
Mr. Laufman graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken and attended Newark College of Engineering.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
He was one of the founding members of Crestmont Country Club in West Orange and was a member of Temple B’nai Abraham in Livingston for more than 70 years.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Essie (Holtz); two daughters, Amy Weil and Lois Bortz; four grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
Services were held July 1 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Temple B’nai Abraham or Saint Barnabas Medical Center Cancer Center, Livingston.
