Izabela Zyl

Izabela (Bela) Zyl, 96, of Pompton Plains died Nov. 28, 2012. A Holocaust survivor born in Lodz, Poland, she immigrated to Buffalo, NY, in 1959 and shortly after moved to the Bronx. She later lived in Long Branch for 35 years.

Mrs. Zyl and her husband, Jerry, operated the stationery store, Fame, in the Bronx.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty Reisman, and two grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 30 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean.
